Car Doors & Ladders

This two part course features a swerving exercise to help avoid those “car doors” or worse! As well as, practicing techniques for running over potentially dangerous objects that can be scattered throughout city streets.


Featured Drills:

  • Swerving

    • First: Practice to understand how to use countersteering effectively to move out of the way of incoming hazards and understanding key techniques to help maintain traction and control.

    • Second: Instructors will prompt riders to swerve on signal- this will help reduce anticipation and act as if you would in a situation on the road.

  • Maneuvering over obstacles

The first drill is called the "Oh Sh*t" drill, which will help you improve your ability to stop suddenly while in a turn. This exercise is designed to enhance your control and technique in high-pressure situations. Following that, we will move on to the "Piccadilly Loop" drill.
